Credit? Debit? )))

Today we had a guest lecturer from San Diego, California state. His name is Scott Spencer Papathakis. At first, he shared with us some personal information. He has many hobbies starting by letter ‘C’ (Cars, Cookies, etc.) Scott showed us his home city and its beautiful beaches. The temperature there is +20-25 degrees in winter!!! We have -20 )))

Anyway, his presentation was about the Credit system, in particular, American one. It was sooo interesting! Scott had really great prepared for this event and thus the information was important and not boring. We’ve known much new about the American Credit system and it’s a pity Ukraine doesn’t have such…

Then, he asked a lot of question and if someone answers correctly – he gives a card. Two, who get more cards than the others, receive the half-dollar silver coin of 1943. I am lucky  – me and Vika B. were the most active and we’ve got those precious presents!

And plus, Scott Papathakis said it’s not his first trip to Ukraine – he is here for the sixth time. And he visited our University three times. He said, everytime he is here he is in good mood. Musik to my ears!)))

I am thankful to our University and am really happy to study here – because we learn not only through reading books or texts, but also through the communication. And, it’s even more important.

Congrats for winning the prize and being interactive. I think that is interesting what Scott did in the class, who was your teacher? That is amazing that you got the precious coin, he is very generous. American students would compete for that as well!

Yea, I’m also very happy to get this coin. Now I have a part of American history in my house:)
It was our bussiness english teacher Lesya Michailovna, she was silent during the presentation, but she also gave as grades for participation after it.
